Visits from Old Friends

An old friend of ours married about a year ago and they came to our area to visit today.  We haven’t seen them for awhile, and didn’t get the chance to truly meet and spend time with his wife, so it was a lot of fun to get to see them and catch up.  

He has known my husband’s family since middle school and I’ve known him since high school, so we reminisced about many memories of growing up together.  We also got to share our nearly one-and-a-half year old son, who provided not a little entertainment for the evening until he went to sleep.  Then we got to hear more about their lives, fun stories, and plans for the future.  

It’s really nice to get to see them again, and I am thankful that God brought them back up our way, even if only for a quick visit.  God used it as a night of laughter, fond memories, and enjoying where God has us at the moment.
